The Wild Orchid Residences developer is the family owned company Dalmoni, founded by Canadian businessman Mr. Paul Habib. An engineer by trade, Paul came to Belize in 2005 with the objective of setting up a new industrial factory in Corozal, Belize. On this his first visit to the country he was advised to visit another area of Belize, Placencia, often referred to as the “Gem of Belize” – Paul and his daughter Aline, who had accompanied him on the trip were taken by the area and made the decision to purchase land. The land purchase is comprised of a 25 acre marina area, 5 acres of adjoining beachfront, plus a pristine 12 acre private island just 12.5 miles east of the beach originally known as Moho Caye.

This was not just a development project: Aline has made Placencia a permanent home for both herself and her family.

Wild Orchid Residences is now a reality and with an experienced development team working with Paul, he is making the dream of home ownership in the “Gem of Belize” possible.

Dalmoni feels it is important to support the community and to give back. Paul and his family company support local events such as the Arts Fest and Placencia Lobsterfest. They are also key benefactors of important community projects including the outreach center for the local children and have sponsored the expansion St. John’s Anglican School in Placencia Village.
